Hattie Paulk
She has overcome dozens of obstacles and hardships to get her education and gives all the credit to her family for inspiring her. A deeply religious woman who is an ordained minister and now an associate minister at The Church of Living God PGT. She was an assistant Pastor at the Church of the Living God PGT in Chicago, Illinois. She has an Associate in Arts Degree from Parkland College. In 2000, she was inducted into Parkland College Society. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, IL and in 1989, received the U.S. Outstanding Adult Award. Being very active in the community, Hattie has received numerous awards, among them being Woman of Distinction from the Green Meadows Girl Scouts. She is now Director of the Champaign Schools Family Information Center, where she and her staff initiated a Warm-A-Kid Drive. They have given away more than 600 coats to children. They have also started a Young Achievers Award Program where more than 150 children were recognized as Young Achiever. She has taught youth, and is a Co-Host on WEFT Radio on Sunday Mornings. |
