Thanks to those who joined us for our Bison Birthday Celebration at Middle Fork River Forest Preserve today! Lenny really appreciated all the friends who turned out to celebrate his nearly 400th birthday! Lenny is short for the native Illinois-Miami word for bison "Lenaswa.”

A special thank you to Steve & Jolene Kuehn of the Illinois State Archaeological Survey for providing a great presentation on the bison skull & hands-on activities as well as other staff from the Champaign County Forest Preserve District for working together on the program!
