Dora Flowers Jamerson

Dora JamersonDora Flowers Jamerson, daughter of Willie B. and Arillian Flowers, was born on December 29, 1925 in Eupora, Mississippi. She was the third of six children, five boys and one girl. Dora married the late Fred B. Jamerson and they had two daughters and two granddaughters.

Dora graduated from Webster County High School in Eupora and Mary Holms Junior College. She worked as Supervisor of the Files Department at Collegiate Cap and Gown for twenty five years, retiring in 1989.

She is a member of St. Luke Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, Past President of the Missionary Society, sings in the New Life Choir and serves as Assistant Sunday School Teacher. Dora is a member of Church Women United, NCNW and Douglass Seniors. She has been a member of the Provena Covenant Medical Center Auxiliary for more than 10 years and serves on the Patient Mail Delivery Service. In addition to visiting the sick and doing her volunteer work, Dora enjoys reading, cooking and crocheting.
